Egypt news:  Spokesperson of Mohamed Morsi’s defense team, Mohamed al-Damati said that they formed the staff that will defend Morsi and other 15 leading members of the Muslim Brotherhood during the trial scheduled to start on Monday.

Former presidential candidate Mohamed Selim al-Awa will head Morsi’s defense staff in addition to a number of lawyers, including Islamist leader Montaser al-Zayat and Mohamed al-Damati.

Al-Damati said in a statement to Youm7 on Sunday that today they will obtain permits to enter the trial, noting that al-Awa will defend Morsi, while the other defendants will be defended by the rest of the members of the defense staff.

On the other hand, Secretary of the International Organization of the Muslim Brotherhood Ibrahim Mounir said that an international team of lawyers will arrive in Cairo on Sunday to participate in the first session of the trial, explaining that it consists of four lawyers, including an American lawyer and another British one.
