The Heliopolis Center for Political Studies issued a report about the first day of the constitutional referendum, underlining various violations that took place in different governorates, according to their report.
The report stated that the authorities prevented a number of observers from entering the polling stations, although they had the necessary licenses to perform their role in this regard. It added that they monitored a number of children voting inside polling stations.
The center added that Ain Shams witnessed a number of violent acts, where Muslim Brotherhood supporters launched a march to impede the voting process, while the security forces managed to disperse them using teargas. It added that the center monitored a number of similar incidents in Kerdasa and a number of areas in Giza.
The report further highlighted the decision taken by the Supreme Electoral Commission to exclude eight judges, for “inciting voters to vote against the constitution.”
