Egyptians abroad register to vote for upcoming constitutional referendum |
CAIRO: Egyptians living abroad continue to sign up on the website of the Supreme Electoral Committee to be able to vote in the upcoming constitutional referendum before registration ends on Monday.
The number of Egyptians abroad who have registered online so far is 677,191, since registration opened Oct.12, according to the latest update from the site.
The requirements to register online were that the voter must be 18 years old before the constitutional referendum and must have an identification card.
Saudi Arabia has the most registered voters with 311,331; followed by Kuwait with 131,573; and the UAE with 67,059; while the U.S. has 31,012; Canada has 12,893; and Italy has 11,000.
