Iran |
Iranian diplomacy achieved success that is recognized for stopping the military strike that was planned against Syria, Iran’s most important ally in the region. Their diplomacy also relieved tension in the Iranian-American relations that were always known for being tense as everyone expected a definite war between the “State of Mullahs” on one side and the U.S. and Israel on the other side.
I used to repeatedly reiterate my belief about hidden Iranian-American intentions to have smooth diplomatic relations will eventually turn out to be a relation of each country considering the other’s interest.
Iran wants to be a member of World Trade Organization, get its hands on the Shah’s frozen billions in Morocco and does not want to compromise its interests. Meanwhile, the U.S. wants to play the role of the policeman in the Gulf zone, even if it means it has to be against its allies and friends, because in politics, interests come first.
