He said Taha Hussein believed that a democracy controlled by ignorance is a lie and that the parliament in the light of ignorance turns to illusion, said Gallet during a seminar held by the French Institute entitled “The International thinker Taha Hussein is the link between France and Egypt.”
Gallet added that Taha gave great importance to education and was influenced by Greek philosophy and French culture, and worked on modernizing primary, secondary and university education.
